Is it a boy, or a girl?

Determining the sex of a chinchilla is not as simple as it is to tell in a dog or cat, and so we have provided some pictures as to how to determine the sex of a kit.

These images are curteosy of Chintasia in Texas. The male’s genitals have a space between the shaft and anus. The female’s genitals will not have a space between the cone and anus.
