Welcome to the Illness Section. From here you will find information on various forms of ailments and afflictions that may occur while having your chinchilla. Regardless whether it is a pet or breeder, knowing about illnesses and diseases makes you a more educated pet owner.

We also included information on breeding chinchillas in this section, because by selecting an animal to put into breeding, you are increasing your chances of injury and death. These are very real things each breeder has to deal with, and breeding should not be taken lightly.
