Kelly

My other true love is for Pembroke Welsh Corgis. After 8 years of wanting, desiring, (and a lot of begging), in August of 2007, we welcomed Nomad Colburn American Idol (aka Kelly) into our family. Kelly is a AKC Registered purebred Corgi and was born in April 2005. She also is OFA and CERF’d.

Kelly was placed in a pet home because she just couldn’t “turn it on” in the show ring because of her soft nature. She meets all of the breed standards, and her breeders thought seriously of breeding her, but decided she would do best in a pet home. Therefore, we now have the wonderful honor of having Kelly in our home. She was spayed before coming home, so has a limited registration.Kelly was shown at various local club shows, placing multiple 1st reserves, which means she never finished her championship. Champion or no, she is our baby, and gets away with too much because she’s so cute! We are hoping that when our lives aren’t quite so busy, she will do her Canine Good Citizen and go on to be a therapy dog.
